Undergraduate Nursing Programs
New admission into the NJCU nursing programs offered at Ft. Monmouth are temporarily on hold.
NJCU is currently conducting program assessments of our academic offerings which include programs offered at our Ft. Monmouth campus. NJCU welcomes interested applicants for acceptance into our nursing programs offered on our Jersey City main campus.
Upon completion of the academic assessments, NJCU will announce the final outcomes regarding the continuation of the nursing programs at Ft. Monmouth. We will provide updates as they become available. Please accept our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused you as an interested applicant.
Accelerated B.S.N.
The Accelerated BSN is a full-time, 12-month, 64-credit program for individuals who hold a bachelor's degree in any field and have completed the prerequisite courses. The program is offered in two NJCU locations, the Jersey City campus and the Wall Township, NJ campus. The program is very competitive, accepting roughly 70-80 students per year. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will receive a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree and will be eligible to sit for the Registered Nurse Licensing exam (NCLEX-RN).
R.N. to B.S.N.
New Jersey City University offers an upper-division program (33 core credits) leading to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. The RN-BSN program may be completed as a full- or part-time student. Admission to the RN-BSN program is limited to nurses who are graduates of diploma, or associate degree programs, or nurses with a formal nurse education from another country and eligible for an RN License in the United States.
The RN-BSN program builds on your previous nursing experience by providing BSN courses in; Nursing Research, Nursing Leadership, Population Health, and Quality and Safety. Earning the BSN prepares you for a superior level of skill, knowledge, and expertise in a variety of settings in our diverse communities.
All students are required to obtain a current Registered Nurse license in the State of New Jersey prior to taking their clinical courses - Population Health (NURS 475) and Nursing Leadership (NURS 440).
